Want to go for a walk?
The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Team up, fundraise, walk, and gather for good... because it’s cold out there.
Join us on February 22, 2025 and walk with us! Your support can help someone move forward and make a shift for good in their circumstances!
About the Event
CNOY is a moment each year when tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home to shine a light of welcome and compassion in their communities. Remarkably, the Coldest Night of the Year has raised over $57,000,000 in 166 communities across Canada since it began in 2011.
The funds raised at the CNOY event, hosted in Alliston, benefit our programming.
-
We walk through the cold and dark on February 22, 2025, to declare out concern for people who have no home and take shelter in nooks and crannies.
-
We walk for those whose days are a battle to house and feed their families and whose nights are filled with fear and frustration.
-
We walk for those driven from home by violence and abuse. And we walk for people overwhelmed by isolation, guilt, and despair.
-
We walk humbly, realizing that anyone can lose their footing and then lose everything else.
Each step we take brings someone closer to safety, health and home, as together, we raise funds for S.H.I.F.T., whose commitment and work transforms peoples’ lives.
